Family Unity Town Hall Dialogue on Immigration Policy
Join Border Action Network and Somos America for a Family Unity Town Hall with U.S. Congressman, Raul Grijalva on March 26th, from 6-7:30 PM at the El Pueblo Regional Center, 101 W. Irvington Rd., Tucson, AZ 85714 in Room 1B.
We know that immigration reform will depend largely on how the House of Representatives leads on this issue. For that reason, Somos America has decided to take on a project to host Family Unity Town Halls in all of our nine congressional districts. Our Tucson town hall speaker will be The Honorable Congressman Raul Grijalva.

FAMILY UNITY TOWN HALL

WHEN: Tuesday, March 26, 2013, 6-730 PM
WHERE: El Pueblo Regional Center, 101 W. Irvington Rd. Room 1B, Tucson, AZ 85714 (View Map)

The goals of the town halls include: sharing the stories of family separation due to a broken immigration system, give an opportunity for our congressional leaders to discuss their ideas on immigration policy, and build relationships with congressional offices for on-going dialogues on immigration policy.
The town halls are nonpartisan. There is no specific "ask" the coalition will be making. We believe that Arizona should lead on this issue and unity among our congressional leaders in the willingness to lead is important.

|
|
|
|
The event will include:
- Learning more about current immigration policy through first-hand accounts of those affected by it.
- Informing the community about what CIR is and is not.
There will be a panel discussion following Congressman Grijalva to answer questions. The panel includes local Immigration Attorney Mo Goldman.

The vision of the Somos America/We Are America Coalition is the full integration of immigrants into the fabric of Arizona: for our families, for our economy, for our country. More information on Somos America can be found at www.somosamerica.org.
