![]() Take A Stand Against Birthright Citizenship Attacks!
Join Our "One-Thousand Baby Chain" at the Capitol! When: Monday, February 7th at 1 PM Where: Front of Senate Building, Arizona Capitol 1700 W. Washington St Phoenix, AZ 85007 You may have heard from our recent Action Alert that the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on SB1308 and SB1309 this Monday, February 7th. These bills would not only deny citizenship to children of undocumented parents and try to force the Supreme Court to review the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, but would also create an “interstate compact” with other states recognizing one another’s new state-determined citizenship. To show our legislators just how many thousands of children would be affected by these horrible measures, join us in Phoenix on Monday, February 7th at 1 PM as our "One-Thousand Baby Chain" descends on the Arizona Capitol! Bring your family, friends and loved ones to demonstrate that we will not stand for legislators using our child ren to create a two-tiered society!Though you are welcome to bring your own children, please download and print our "baby" here to bring with you to the Capitol on Monday. For those in Southern Arizona, Border Action will provide a bus to the Capitol from our office in Tucson. To RSVP and for more info, please contact Gisella Ramirez at 520.247.0334. Please arrive at the Border Action office at 10 AM, and expect to return around 5 PM. Please bring your own snack and lunch. |
